Biography
Siddharth is not one of those glamorous boys in town acting in movies just because he has good looks. He is an MBA from S.P. Jain, Mumbai who started his career in films because of his interest in making movies. He started off as the Assitant Director of the well known south indian director Mani Ratnam who made movies like Roja, Bombay, Dil Se and Guru which were liked all over the country. Siddharth’s first movie was the Tamil film Kannathil Muthamittal, not as an actor but as the assistant director of the movie. The movie ended up as a big hit bagging regional awards. A.R. Rahman scored the music for the movie. So he started big.
His chance as an actor came when S. Shankar who made movies like Indian and Jeans wanted Siddharth to act in his movie Boys (Tamil, Telugu). His first lead role was in the movie Nuvvu Vastananate Nenu Vaddantana (Telugu) which got him the Best Actor Filmfare award for Telgu language films.
